We stayed in a queen suite in the main building, and this was the most perfect place ever! I was a little wary from some of the negative reviews on travel sites, but we weren't looking for a spa, TVs, luxury, or a cookie-cutter hotel. Sandpiper is charming, clean, perfectly located, and rustic in the good way. Kitchen was well-stocked with everything (we brought kitchen supplies just in case, but didn't need them), bed was clean and comfortable with enough blankets and pillows, shower was warm, we got enough logs for the fireplace. Nothing was broken, and there was no brown water, tho the clerk did remind us to let the water run for a few minutes if it was (like in most old buildings). The balcony had two chairs and a table, and was perfect to watch all the weather going by. We'll be back and highly recommend it. Bring your own supplies if you're worried.

We just returned from two glorious days and nights at the Sandpiper. The beach and sights were spectacular and so relaxing! Gone were the mega crowds of Ocean Shores which makes for a relaxing stay. Accomodations were not fancy but were clean and comfortable. Sort of like borrowing your aunt's beach cottage. Owners were very pleasant and accomodating. Overall I give a recommend to anyone interested in relaxation not the party life. 8)

Spent the weekend with five adults and one toddler in Suite 11. I was worried about feeling cooped up, but the suite was so spacious! Everyone had more than enough space and then some. They had everything we needed and the beach was so close and accessible. The staff was very friendly and helpful (our toaster was broken and they immediately gave us a brand new one; they gave us directions to nearby places and had clean towels ready on demand). I would absolutely recommend that anyone looking for a relaxing, cozy place right on the beach to stay here! We'll be back in the near future.

We have been to Sandpiper a few times, and we are excited to be headed back over there tomorrow for a long weekend. It's a very special place to me and my family. Can't wait to be there!

8) We just returned from our week end here .This is a nice quiet place- we love the view.
Office staff was very friendly. If you are looking for a 5 star resort this is NOT it.They say they are rustic and i think that's a good description.I feel like we pay the right amount for being pretty much right on the beach.

My family and I have been coming to the SandPiper for over 25 years and now we are continuing the tradition with our children. One of our most favorite places in the world! We look forward to our trip this summer.

We had the most wonderful stay. A calming warm breeze met us. Hosts graciously warm the room prior to our arrival. The next day the beach was even better, conditions changed hourly, truly exciting, perfect day for walking and photography, napping. Dog heaven for Casey. Sandpiper is the most serene natural location to instantly counter-effect a tough workweek. Avoided Friday rush hour and made the trip right after dinner, loved beach house 1 accommodations. Best trip ever for week after daylight savings.

Secured lodging for mid-week - annual planning. Unit 50 perfect for convening our compact chill team. Several attendees have a lot of astronomy experience, and the sky conditions for the meteor showers were clear as I remember in Prescott, AZ in the 60's. It helps that the good people of the Sandpiper recently reduced light pollution dramatically by turning off the large Sodium Vapor rooftop floodlight. A godsend for us sky-watching geeks. Will return with professional lenses during this May's anticipated extended high pressure event for media project to film the Washington sky in HD B&W. Love the timeless low-impact feel of this place, definitely in the goldilocks zone, and easier to secure than a permit to the Enchantments.

It was great. The staff was friendly. The room was spacious. Nothing super fancy, but we had everything we needed and it was very comfortable. Room 25 had a view of the ocean and we opened the window to sleep to the sounds of the ocean. It is steps from the beach and when we were there only a few people were around so it was perfect. I highly recommend it.

On this Father's Day, I just want to let you know that our family has been staying there since you opened in 1973. My parents would come at least twice a year. We also had several family gatherings. It was my Dad's favorite places to go. He passed in December of 2010. He is waiting for Mom to join him and they will be spread together there on the beach.
